how to order and what to expect when ordering meat from Honeybee's Homestead in bulk
Place a deposit to reserve bulk beef or pork! BEEF is sold by the 1/4, 1/2 or whole. PORK is sold by the 1/2 or whole. How it works- Fill out the form, send payment, wait for butcher date to arrive, we contact you to choose your preferred cut choices, pick up your farm fresh, local meat, pay remainder owed (deposit is applied to final total) and enjoy!

For example: When ordering meat in bulk from Honeybee's Homestead you pay the farm 4.50 lb (beef) based on the hanging weight of the animal. Hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after it is slaughtered and prepared to be cut into your selections. Most hanging weights are approximately 2/3 of the live weight. In addition, you will pay the butcher, at the time of pick-up, for butchering in accordance with your selections. Typically, the butcher will charge around .70/lb hanging weight + a slaughter fee of around $40. ** prices are subject to change.
1/4 BEEF Example: -Grand Total: $924

Live Weight 1,100 lbs (x .62) = 682 lbs hanging weight /4 =170
Paid to Honeybee's Homestead: 170 lbs x $4.50 = $765
Paid to Butcher: $0.70 x 170 lbs hanging weight + $40 slaughter fee = $159
1/2 PORK Example: Grand Total: $541

Paid to Honeybee's Homestead : 115 lbs x $3.50 = $402
Paid to Butcher: $0.72 x 115 lbs hanging weight + $45 slaughter fee + $12 for 20 lbs smoked pork fee (bacon, ham- will be more or less based on your choices) $139
